Gareth Southgate Gets 4 More Years

In one of the biggest no brainers since the World Cup Gareth Southgate has signed on to be manager for England for 4 more years which means he’ll be leading the team at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

I don’t think there was anyone out there that didn’t think this was going to happen after he took the Three Lions to their best World Cup finish since 1990. England had always been an extremely hyped team ever year and then they never were able to live up to the lofty expectations. This past summer though was different. The country fell in love with their national team all over again and they were serious contenders to actually lift the trophy until they met Croatia in the final four.

Next up is their UEFA Nations League games against Croatia and Spain where they’ll be looking for some positive results. This England team is young and trending upwards led by the deadly Harry Kane who had his best showing at a major international tournament and is looking to build on that.
